Our Story

Hi! I'm Heather, the artist behind Tilly LaMaze.

The name Tilly LaMaze comes from one of my favorite chapters of life. It's a blend of my daughters' names, Teagan, Willa, and Mazie. When they were little, we called ourselves Twillamaze and Ma. I always knew that if I ever created a business, I wanted it to carry a piece of that playful, imaginative time with me. From that spirit of fun, creativity, and joy, Tilly LaMaze was born.

I create playful ceramic jewelry designed to bring a little joy to everyday life, along with small ceramic pieces for the home including trinket boxes and ornaments. Each piece begins with a hand carved stamp or whimsical illustration and is finished with layers of creamy satin glazes in bright, cheerful colors. My work is all about lighthearted, wearable and functional art made to make you smile and add a bit of color and whimsy to your day.

When I'm not working in my home studio, you'll find me teaching art to high school students and encouraging creativity in the next generation of makers.
